Promoting Good Behaviour... Our Positive Pupil Policy
At Netherfield, it is a primary aim that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that each person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. Our school behaviour policy is therefore designed to support the way in which all members of the school can live and work together in a supportive way. It aims to promote an environment where everyone feels happy, safe and secure.
We have a School Charter, but the primary aim of our behaviour policy is not a system to enforce rules. It is a means of promoting good relationships, so that people can work together with the common purpose of helping everyone to learn. This policy supports the community at Netherfield in aiming to allow everyone to work together in an effective and considerate way.
At Netherfield, we expect every member of the school community to behave in a considerate way towards others.
Challenging Bullying... A Values Based Ethos
Everyone at Netherfield Primary School has the right to feel welcome, secure and happy. Bullying of any sort prevents this from happening and our Anti-bullying policy contains guidelines to support this ethos.
Where bullying exists, the victims must feel confident to activate the anti-bullying systems within the school to end the bullying. It is our aim to challenge attitudes about bullying behaviour, increase understanding for bullied pupils and help build an anti-bullying and value based ethos in the school.
Our Vision is:
To promote a safe, secure and enjoyable learning environment for all children to achieve their full potential
Our Aims:
- To establish a bully free school through a valued based school
- To raise awareness of the nature and impact of bullying
